Lets Put The GREAT Back in BRITAIN
More and more people are increasingly disillusioned with the decline that has occurred in the moral fabric of Britain over the last 10 years or so, which regretfully continues.
This was highlighted in a recent TV program hosted by Noel Edmunds – Noel’s HQ on Sky One.
Congratulations on Noel's HQ!
It was good to see a recognised TV personality taking a positive stand to highlight numerous aspects of life in today’s Britain which have dragged and continue to drag this once great nation into becoming a second/third rate country.
Politicians have demonstrated their ineffectiveness in leading Britain and dragged this country into moral decline by introducing continuous legislation that strangles and detracts from the real issues that need addressing. None seem capable of reversing this trend and putting the GREAT back into Britain. Something the majority of people would welcome and is long overdue.
The majority of people in this country are decent hard working people yet our lives have become blighted and overshadowed by stupid red tape, bureaucracy, political correctness, anti-social behaviour, binge drinking, a decline in decent family values, an unpatriotic undertone, a lack of respect for one another, the list goes on.
It was good to see someone on TV actually stand up and highlight numerous issues which affect peoples lives and take a stand against the tide of negativity which has taken over in so many areas of our lives.
We need a campaign to reverse this decline in Britain "Lets put the GREAT back in Britain" and turn back the tide on moral decline, poor attitudes, apathy, not caring, complacency and bureaucracy etc... that has taken the GREAT out of Britain.
An example that hit home recently after returning from the USA was the different way we and the USA treat and respect our armed forces. The USA is openly much more patriotic than we are in Britain these days. They welcome their armed forces back from duty and embrace them in the community, something we don't sadly do. Many shops, restaurants, hotels etc... recognise them by giving a 20% discount. Wouldn't it be great to see us doing the same in this country towards our armed forces?
The USA is openly much more patriotic than we are in this country these days, something that should be at the heart of every nation. They respect the 'Stars & Stripes' something that we use to do with the Union Jack, but is sadly lacking these days. This sense of patriotism is felt in all aspects of the USA from government down to the man in the street. So come on Britain stem the tide that has swamped this once great country and lets put the GREAT back in Britain.
Things that need to change to put the GREAT back in Britain:
- Respect for other people
- A greater sense of national pride and patriotism
- An end to anti-social behaviour
- A return to family values
- An end to the binge drinking culture
- An end to bullying at school, in the work place and other social groups
- Support and pride in our armed forces
- Less red tape and bureaucracy
- Less of of a 'nanny' state
